The Committee discussed that early sunset times in the <br />fall months would limit city use of the fields to weekends only. Based on this calendar, the <br />Committee felt that the limited amount of time potentially available to the city does not warrant a <br />commitment of city funds to this project. Bruce Kunkel stated that the College will go ahead on the <br />project regardless of city involvement; he also asked to be informed of future committee meetings. <br />The committee discussed the need to make a recommendation to Council and decided, in light of <br />Bethel's intention to proceed and the amount of field time apparently available for city use, that <br />city funds not be used for this project. <br />10. Recreation Program Update. <br />Tom Moore reported programs are up and running at Floral, Hazelnut, and Cummings parks.
