ARDEN HILLS PARKS, TRAILS & RECREATION COMMITTEE 4 <br /> another$400,000 for furniture, technology, and telephone costs, half of which would <br /> come from cable monies. <br /> Council Liaison Larson reported Council had heard a proposal from a consultant working <br /> for MNDOT on the Highway 36, County Road J, I-35W corridor and noted the City is <br /> concerned with how the study and proposal will affect the major intersections within the <br /> City. He also stated Council would prefer to eliminate Highway 10 as the shortcut to I- <br /> 35W. <br /> Council Liaison Larson reported Council approved a contract for a storm water <br /> management plan for the City which is a requirement from the Metropolitan Council. He <br /> noted this storm water management plan would cost the City approximately $24,000. <br /> COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DISCUSSION <br /> Mr. Wensman from Ingram & Associates updated the Committee on the preliminary <br /> results from the survey and reviewed handouts he provided with the Committee. He then <br /> asked if Committee Members were available for the April 21, 2001 work session to <br /> discuss final survey results. <br /> It was the consent of the Committee to have a work session on April 21, 2001 as <br /> . previously planned. <br /> Committee Member Crassweller noted it is interesting that residents have indicated they <br /> are satisfied with indoor recreation but rated trails and passive parks as very important. <br /> Mr. Wensman asked Committee Members to begin thinking about a vision statement for <br /> the parks for future discussion. <br /> DATE/TIME OF NEXT MEETING <br /> By consensus, there was a work session scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2001, from <br /> 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. <br /> By consensus, the next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> at City Hall. <br /> AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING <br /> Comprehensive Park Plan Review Survey Results <br /> OTHER ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> None. <br />
