ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – MARCH 14, 2016 5 <br /> <br />With no one coming forward to speak, Mayor Grant closed the public hearing at 7:43 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to adopt Resolution #2016-010 – Adopting and Confirming Quarterly <br />Special Assessments for Delinquent Utilities. The motion carried (4-0). <br /> <br />9. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung stated that he and Councilmember Wicklund recently met with Fire <br />Chief Boehlke and toured the department’s four stations. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes indicated that the City now has representation for Beyond the Yellow <br />Ribbon. She thanked Steve and Eileen Scott for their willingness to serve the community. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes discussed an article she read in the recent Minnesota Cities publication <br />regarding an 18-mile bike trail that was completed by the City of Paynesville for $3 million. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden requested that staff speak with the County regarding the intersection of <br />Lexington Avenue and Red Fox Road. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden was interested in revisiting the City’s trail plan. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant commented that the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee (PTRC) does evaluate <br />this on a yearly basis. <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator/Director of Finance and Administrative Services Iverson <br />explained that she could provide the Council with the most recent copy of the trail plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes stated that the Council will have an opportunity to review this item with <br />the PTRC at the upcoming joint work session. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant supported staff providing the Council with a copy of the trail plan. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant encouraged the Council to do a ride-along with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s <br />Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant stated that he received an email regarding State Fair parking. He was in favor of <br />the City Council planning for this matter sooner rather than later. <br />
