<br /> <br />DATE: June 27, 2016 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Sue Iverson, Acting City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Matthew Bachler, Senior Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Approve Resolution No. 2016-019 Appointing Evan Cordes to serve on <br />the Economic Development Commission for a term expiring December 31, <br />2018 <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The Economic Development Commission (EDC) currently has five members. The guidelines <br />state that this committee can have up to nine members comprised of residents or non-residents <br />affiliated with an Arden Hills business. A minimum of four residents must be represented on the <br />Commission. Currently, all five EDC members are residents of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Staff recently received an application from Evan Cordes who is an attorney with Hansen, <br />Dordell, Bradt, Odlaug, & Bradt in Arden Hills. An interview panel consisting of Council <br />Liaison Brenda Holden and Senior Planner Matthew Bachler interviewed Mr. Cordes on <br />Thursday, June 9.
