<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: July 11, 2016 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 13, 2016 <br />7:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor David Grant called to order the regular City <br />Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor David Grant, Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Dave <br />McClung and Jonathan Wicklund <br /> <br /> Absent: None <br /> <br /> Also present: Interim City Administrator Sue Iverson and Acting Public Works Director <br />John Anderson <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Grant noted one addition to the agenda stating Item 5F should be added to the Consent <br />Agenda Appointing Julie Hanson as City Clerk. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to approve the meeting agenda as amended. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />2. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br /> <br />Tess Degeist, 3116 Woodridge Road, requested the Council reconsider the tennis court in her <br />neighborhood. While she respected the Council’s position to close the tennis court for safety <br />reasons, she wanted to see the tennis court reconstructed. She indicated she had been in <br />conversation with Mr. Anderson and stated she had 36 email addresses in support of the tennis <br />court being rebuilt. She explained she had lived in her neighborhood for the past 10 years and <br />played tennis herself. She reported she coached middle school tennis in the past and commented <br />there was another tennis coach in the neighborhood. For this reason, the court has been very well <br />utilized by herself and her neighbors. She noted this was the only park space in her neighborhood <br />and based on its high use, she encouraged the Council to budget for the reconstruction of this
