ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – JULY 11, 2016 3 <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to approve the Consent Calendar as presented and to authorize <br />execution of all necessary documents contained therein. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />6. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Accept Proposal for Sanitary Sewer Repair <br /> <br />Mayor Grant stated he pulled this item from the Consent Calendar and discussed the cost of the <br />project, which totaled $54,480. He appreciated the fact that staff received two bids for this project <br />as it would save the City approximately 25% for this project. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a motion to <br />Accept Proposal for Sanitary Sewer Repair. The motion carried (5-0). <br /> <br />B. Accept Proposal for Water Valve Replacement <br /> <br />Mayor Grant thanked staff for receiving two bids for this project and noted the cost savings that <br />would be received by the City. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a motion to <br />Accept Proposal for Water Valve Replacement. The motion carried (5-0). <br /> <br />7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />A. TCAAP Development Discussion Opportunity for Residents <br /> <br />Mayor Grant stated under the Public Hearing section, citizens would have an opportunity to <br />discuss ideas regarding the TCAAP development. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant opened the public hearing at 7:11 p.m. <br /> <br />With no one coming forward to speak, Mayor Grant closed the public hearing at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />B. Approve Resolution 2016-023 – Order of Abatement at 3736 Brighton Way <br />South <br /> <br />Senior Planner Bachler stated due to a complaint, staff inspected 3763 Brighton Way South on <br />June 6, 2016. Staff noted excessive vegetation growth and the accumulation of tree branches, and <br />determined that the property was in violation of the following subsections of City Code Section <br />602.02 Public Nuisance Affecting Health: <br /> <br />• Subd. 6. All noxious weeds and other growths of vegetation upon public or private <br />property in excess of eight (8) inches. <br />
