ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – AUGUST 8, 2016 2 <br /> <br /> Development <br />• The County will be submitting a preliminary plat to the City within the next 30 days. The <br />plat is to define the boundaries of the property that can be transferred for development and <br />outlots that need to be deeded to MNDOT for intersection improvements at the County <br />Road H entrance. <br /> <br />• The Master Development Team continues to work on refinement of their plan and will be <br />presenting their preliminary thoughts on the TRC and Master Plan at the joint meeting of <br />the City Council and JDA on August 15. <br /> <br />Meetings <br />• City and County staff, Ehlers and the Master Developer held their weekly project meetings <br />on July 27 and August 3. <br /> <br />• On August 1 the JDA held their monthly meeting. At the meeting, they set bi-monthly <br />meetings to allow for opportunities for additional review and/or required approvals and <br />heard a presentation from the Master Development Team updating them on what they have <br />been working on since being selected and forecasting work over the next 90 days. <br /> <br />• On August 3 the Master Development Team, Country representatives, the City’s Senior <br />Planner and Ehlers had a conference call with the Department of Employment and <br />Economic Development (DEED) to discuss grant sources available for TCAAP for <br />remediation and development purposes. <br /> <br />Communications/Media <br />• The Mayor, Councilmember Wicklund, Interim Administrator Iverson and Ehlers will be <br />interviewing four (4) communication consultant groups on August 9 starting at 2:00 p.m. <br />A recommendation on a preferred consultant will be brought to the City Council for <br />formal approval in August. <br /> <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A. July 18, 2016, Regular City Council <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes requested a change to the minutes on Page 3, Under Item C, Alpine <br />Factory needed to spelled correctly. On Page 9, she requested the County Road E pedestrian <br />bridge be referred to and that Mayor Grant’s comment regarding the delay on E2 be placed under <br />Council Comments. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung requested a change to the minutes in the middle of Page 8, stating his <br />comment should read: Councilmember McClung agreed that Floral Drive was in poor condition, <br />along with Old Snelling Avenue. He believed Floral Drive should be completed in 2018. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a <br />motion to approve the July 18, 2016, Regular City Council meeting minutes as <br />amended. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br />
