<br />Sue directed and supervised the personnel and functions of the Engineering, Planning, Building Safety, Land Management,
<br />Engineering Plan Review, and Traffic Operations Divisions. She oversaw and directed development related issues and
<br />oversaw all municipal infrastructure in the areas of capital project design, procurement, and construction as well as traffic
<br />engineering operations. Sue coordinated assigned activities with other City Departments and outside agencies as well as
<br />provided professional and technical support to the City Manager, City Council, and other boards and commissions. Sue
<br />oversaw the development and ongoing expenditures of the department budget (FY 11/12 budget was $5 million, with a CIP
<br />of $13 million).
<br />Public Works Director/City Engineer, City of Mendota Heights, MN
<br />Sue was responsible for the supervision of 18 full-time employees in the Engineering Department, Public Works (including
<br />water and wastewater utilities, fleet, street maintenance, park maintenance, and facilities), Planning, Code
<br />Enforcement/Building Inspector and Recreation Programmer staff. She was the project manager for public improvement
<br />projects where she organized and facilitated public information meetings, supervised the preparation of feasibility reports
<br />and presented reports at public meetings. Sue coordinated department reviews of development projects and administered
<br />development contracts, prepared department budgets and the capital improvement program. Sue worked cooperatively with
<br />other agencies such as Dakota County, MN, Department of Natural Resources, MN, the Department of Transportation, and
<br />watershed districts. Sue prepared the department budget (2007 budget was $3.8million), attended all Planning Commission
<br />and City Council meetings, prepared and conducted presentations, and resolved citizen complaints.
<br />City Engineer (June 2000 to March 2004), Assistant City Engineer (March 1997 to May 2000), City of Prior Lake, MN
<br />Sue was responsible for the supervision of Engineering Department staff. She was the project manager for public
<br />improvement projects and developed a five-year CIP for streets and utilities. Sue organized and facilitated public information
<br />meetings, supervised the preparation of feasibility reports and presented reports at public meetings, prepared assessment
<br />rolls as well as coordinated the department review of development projects and administered development contracts. Sue
<br />worked cooperatively with other agencies such as Scott County, Shakopee Mdwanketon Sioux Community, and watershed
<br />districts. She prepared the department budget (2003 budget was $515,000), attended Planning Commission and City
<br />Council meetings as necessary, and resolved citizen complaints.

<br />Sue was responsible for all facets of work performed by the corporation including wetland delineations and reports,
<br />marketing, preparation of EAW’s, and was the project manager for the municipal water management plan.
