ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION – October 5, 2016 5 <br /> <br />Senior Planner Bachler stated as part of the Master PUD approval, two monument signs were <br />approved and reviewed the location of these signs. He noted MedExpress would not be allowed <br />to install an additional monument sign. <br /> <br />Ryan Abraham, Project Manager for MedExpress, provided the Commission with pictures of <br />another MedExpress building that was recently constructed, along with a brick sample. He <br />described how the brick panels would be secured to the building. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jones requested further information on the windows. <br /> <br />Mr. Abraham described the windows that would be used on the MedExpress building. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman questioned how MedExpress would be staffed. <br /> <br />Mr. Abraham reported the site would have two PA’s in the front office with one doctor, one <br />nurse and one x-ray tech on site at all times. He anticipated a nurse practitioner would be <br />brought to the site as well. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman asked if MedExpress would accept all forms of insurance. <br /> <br />Mr. Abraham stated this was the case. <br /> <br />Chair Thompson inquired what the hours of operation would be. <br /> <br />Mr. Abraham explained MedExpress would be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and would <br />only be closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman asked if MedExpress had other locations in Minnesota. <br /> <br />Mr. Abraham listed the MedExpress locations within the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman moved and Commissioner Neururer seconded a motion to <br />recommend approval of Planning Case 16-024 for a Final PUD for Phase II of the Arden <br />Plaza Master PUD at 1150 County Road E West based on the findings of fact, submitted <br />plans, and the seventeen (17) conditions in the October 5, 2016, Report to the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Chair Thompson supported the addition to this development but requested staff continue to <br />monitoring traffic and parking in this area. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />
