Our <br />approach includes the following: <br /> <br />PROPOSED CITY OF ARDEN HILLS TEAM <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/City Engineer <br /> <br />We propose to assign Ms. Sue Polka, PE, as the Director of Public Works/City Engineer for the City. Sue <br />has over 30 years of experience with the majority as a public employee in both public works and city <br />engineering, making her an ideal candidate for this role. This experience combined with the work that <br />Sue has completed with the City of Arden Hills to-date will allow her to immediately assume a leadership <br />role with the City. <br /> <br />Project Manager <br /> <br />Ms. Polka will be joined by Mr. Jim Stremel, PE, to provide support for project delivery and management <br />within the City. Mr. Stremel has a strong record of project development and delivery and will be a part of <br />the dedicated City of Arden Hills team as the project manager for municipal projects within the <br />community. Jim has already begun to be involved in developing project scopes for the Old Snelling Trail <br />Project and the 2017 Trail Improvement Project. <br /> <br />Graduate Engineer <br /> <br />As a part of the City of Arden Hills team, we are proposing a graduate engineer to provide support for Ms. <br />Polka on day-to-day City building site and construction activities. To date, this role has been filled by <br />Kelsey Gelhar and we would propose that Kelsey continue in this role on an as-needed basis to perform <br />general engineering activities, research, inspections, and project coordination. <br /> <br />Public Works Advisor/TCAAP Project Lead <br /> <br />As the client advocate, Mr. Andy Brotzler, PE, will also serve as an advisor and resource for Ms. Polka on <br />public works and engineering matters. Andy has over 13 years of experience as an in-house city <br />engineer and director of public works for a similarly sized community. He will provide support for the <br />development of standard operating procedures and quality standards for public works along with future <br />staffing and equipment needs projections. In addition to this, Andy will maintain the lead project <br />management role for the TCAAP project.
