ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – JANUARY 9, 2017 5 <br /> <br />This item was removed from the agenda per the applicant’s request. <br /> <br />10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott thanked Councilmember Wicklund for serving the City over the past year. <br />He discussed his public service in Arden Hills which involved serving as an election judge and as <br />a Committee Member on the Parks, Trail sand Recreation Committee. He commended the Arden <br />Hills citizens for turning out and voting at the recent election. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes wished Mike Schifsky well in his retirement and welcomed Bill Joynes <br />to the City of Arden Hills as the new City Administrator. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung wished Mike Schifsky a long and healthy retirement, stating he was <br />an extremely valuable member of the Public Works Department. He welcomed Councilmember <br />Scott to the City Council and believed he would be a great addition. In addition, he looked <br />forward to working with newly hired City Administrator Joynes. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant requested the Public Works department address the directional sign on County <br />Road E2 in the median adjacent to Arden Plaza. He explained this sign has been knocked down <br />four times due to poor visibility. He suggested a reflective cylinder be placed around the sign. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant suggested staff create new contact cards for the City Councilmembers. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant welcomed City Administrator Joynes to the City of Arden Hills. He looked <br />forward to working with Mr. Joynes. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant thanked Mike Schifsky for his numerous years of dedicated service to the City and <br />wished him well in his retirement. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant welcomed Councilmember Scott to the City Council and stated he looked forward <br />to working with him. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to adjourn.
