Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Matthew Bachler, Senior Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Consider Proposal from WSB & Associates to Complete the 2040 Comprehensive <br />Plan Update <br /> <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br />$100,000 $100,300.00 General Fund <br />Sewer Fund <br />Stormwater Fund <br />Sewer Fund <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Consider the Proposed Scope and Budget to Provide Services to Complete the 2040 Update to <br />the Arden Hills Comprehensive Plan from WSB & Associates (Attachment A). <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At the City Council Work Session on February 21, 2017, the Council reviewed a proposal from <br />WSB & Associates to complete the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. The proposal was based on a <br />draft RFP written by staff for the project. The Council directed staff to revise the scope of work <br />in the RFP to only include those items required to be addressed by the Metropolitan Council. <br />The Metropolitan Council provides a checklist of the minimum requirements for the 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan and the checklist for Arden Hills is included in Attachment B. The draft <br />RFP has since been revised based on this checklist (Attachment C). <br /> <br />WSB has provided a revised proposal based on the draft RFP with a total cost of the 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan at $100,300 (Attachment D). A proposal is not a contract. Therefore, WSB <br />has also prepared a Proposed Scope and Budget to Provide Services to Complete the 2040 <br />Update to the Arden Hills Comprehensive Plan (Attachment A).
