CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016-040 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />FOR THE TCAAP PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, the Arden Hills 2030 Comprehensive Plan was officially approved in <br />September of 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council considered approval of a Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment in order to rezone the approximately 427 acre portion of the Twin Cities Army <br />Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) property owned by Ramsey County and to adopt the TCAAP <br />Redevelopment Code (TRC) on December 12, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan Amendment and related approvals would <br />change the land use designations on the TCAAP property from Mixed Business and Mixed <br />Residential to Neighborhood Residential, Town Center, Campus Commercial, Retail Mixed- <br />Use, Office Mixed-Use, Flex Office, Public and Institutional, Utility, and Parks and Open <br />Space; and <br />WHEREAS, the City’s Future Land Use Map would be amended to re-designate the <br />property to reflect the changes in land use classifications; and <br />WHEREAS, the chapters and appendixes that pertain to this amendment would be <br />updated to ensure compatibility with the TCAAP Master Plan; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills, Minnesota, that the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the TCAAP <br />property are approved subject to review by the Metropolitan Council pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statutes §473.864: <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />THIS 12th DAY OF DECEMBER, 2016. <br />____________________________________ <br />ATTEST:David Grant, Mayor <br />__________________________________________ <br />Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br />Attachment Q
