<br />City of Arden Hills <br />Planning Commission Meeting for June 7, 2017 <br />P:\Planning\Planning Cases\2017\PC 17-010 - 3246 New Brighton Road - Preliminary Plat & Variance\Memos_Reports_17-010\PC Report_(6- <br />7-17)_17-010 Table.docx <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Public Comments <br /> <br />Staff received a phone call from a resident in the neighborhood who opposed the requested <br />Variance due to concerns about the additional density that would be allowed and the impact on <br />adjacent properties. <br /> <br />Staff received a phone call from the resident at 3355 Lake Johanna who expressed concern about <br />the reduction of green space that would result from an additional home on the site, and who <br />believed a Variance was not justified in this case. <br /> <br />A public hearing was held for Planning Case 17-010 at the Planning Commission meeting on <br />May 3, 2017. Draft minutes from that meeting were addressed in Agenda Item 2.A of tonight’s <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />Deadline for Agency Actions <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills received the completed application for this request on April 12, 2017. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute, the City is required to act on this request by June 12, 2017 <br />(60 days) unless the City provides the petitioner with written reasons for an additional 60 day <br />review period. <br /> <br />The applicant was notified on May 24, 2017 of the City’s request for an additional 60-day review <br />period. Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute, the City must now act on this request by August 11, <br />2017. The City may, with the consent of the applicant, extend the review period beyond the <br />initial 120 days. <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />None
