Joint Development Authority <br />Monday, February 6, 2017 <br />Arden Hills City Council Chambers <br />Minutes <br />5:30 pm <br /> <br />Present: <br />Joint Development Authority: Chair Jonathan Wicklund, Commissioner Dave McClung, <br />Commissioner David Grant, Commissioner Rafael Ortega <br /> <br />Also present: Bill Joynes, (Arden Hills); Josh Olson, (Ramsey County) <br /> <br />Roll call taken. <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ortega seconded by Commissioner Grant to approve the agenda as <br />presented. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />None <br /> <br />Election of 2017 Officers <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Grant seconded by Commissioner Ortega to appoint Jonathan <br />Wicklund Chair of the JDA for 2017. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Chair Wicklund commented on the JDA bylaws. Mr. Olson stated the intent of the bylaws was <br />to have the Vice Chair be a Commissioner from the County. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Grant seconded by Commissioner Ortega to appoint Blake Huffman <br />Vice Chair of the JDA for 2017. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Public Inquiries/Informational <br /> <br />Lyle Salema, Chair of the Energy Board, discussed an email he sent to the JDA regarding energy. <br />He commented on the worldwide changes that would affect energy use and energy grids. He <br />reported solar and wind was now cheaper than coal or gas. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />None <br /> <br />Old Business <br />None
