Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />The JDA currently meets on the first Monday of the month. The JDA may be asked to consider <br />reviewing its meeting schedule in the future based on the number of applications being <br />processed and need for additional work sessions. <br /> <br />9. Agreements and Contracts <br />Development projects will require that an associated agreement or contract be approved by the <br />JDA. These agreements or contracts will be approved concurrently with the JDA’s approval of <br />the land use application or at the next regularly scheduled JDA meeting. <br /> <br />Application Fees <br />Under the Joint Powers Agreement, the JDA may require an application fee and escrow to defray costs <br />incurred by its review of land use applications. The application fee is meant to cover overhead costs <br />associated with the JDA staff’s review of the application, while the escrow will be used to reimburse <br />specific costs, such as staff time, legal fees, and mailing expenses. These types of fees are required to be <br />established by resolution. Staff recommends that the JDA consider setting its fees to be consistent with <br />the approved Arden Hills land use application fees.
