Joint Development Authority—JUNE 2, 2014 3 <br />Commissioner Huffman suggested the task force have one member of the JDA serve as a <br />liaison. <br />Commissioner Holden was willing to serve as the liaison. <br />Motion by Commissioner Huffman seconded by Commissioner Ortega to establish an Energy <br />Integration and Resiliency Task Force with members being Greg Mack, Zack Hansen, Lyle <br />Salmela, Rich Straumann, Jim Ostlund, Kate Knuth, with Commissioner Holden serving as the <br />JDA liaison. <br />Amendment: Motion by Commissioner Holden seconded by Commissioner Grant to have Rich <br />Straumann be removed from the task force and be replaced by Nick Tamble. <br />Commissioner Grant questioned who compiled the list of task force members. <br />Administrative Director Worthington indicated she and several other staff members compiled <br />the list of task force members from interested members of the community. She explained that <br />Mr. Salmela and Mr. Straumann had both expressed an interest in serving on an advisory task <br />force, noting both had served on the RAB. <br />Discussion took place on seeking volunteers for the task force. <br />Commissioner Huffman withdrew his original motion. <br />Motion by Commissioner Huffman seconded by Commissioner Grant to establish the Energy <br />Advisory Task Force with appointments made at a future meeting. <br />Administrative Director Worthington recommended that the Commissioners forward potential <br />task force members to her prior to next month's meeting. <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the process the JDA would follow to select the task force <br />members. <br />Commissioner Ortega recommended that job descriptions and time commitments be provided <br />from each candidate for the task force. <br />Administrative Director Worthington thanked the JDA for their conversation and suggested that <br />staff be instructed to make a framework for soliciting nominations and that this be posted to <br />the City and County's website. <br />Motion carried. <br />C.
