PUBLIC COMMENTS ON TCAAP MASTER PLANNING PROCESS - updated 9/25/13
COMMENT
SOURCE
CITY/ORG CATEGORY(IES) COMMENT
Email Shoreview Land Uses, Open
Space, Trails
+
Email Shoreview Trails Your article in the Press Publications which asked for public input spurred me to comment. While I
can't suggest what should should go into the TCAAP project, I can mention someting I would like
to see on the Ramsey County parks side. The area outlined on the future project map of the
arsenal shows a cross country ski area for use in the winter to be included. I suggest a mountain
bike park (dirt trails) creation in the cross country ski area that can be used during Minnesota's
other three seasons.
I am heavely involved with mountain biking (MTB) in Ramsey Co. parks and there are plenty of
metro organizations that would help Ramsey County design, maintain and build trails in the
designated area. The Ramsey County parks are developing continually with new trends and I think
my suggestion would be a hit and a real draw for the people, with fun for the whole family.
Mountain biking is big, here is a link for a metro MTB organization and a news article:
http://www.startribune.com/local/south/221939751.html
Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists:
http://www.morcmtb.com
1
