PUBLIC COMMENTS ON TCAAP MASTER PLANNING PROCESS - updated 9/25/13
COMMENT
SOURCE
CITY/ORG CATEGORY(IES) COMMENT
Email Arden Hills Attractions Unable to attend Sept. 17 open house. Idea fro TCAAP site: A Zip-line and/or two Alpine Slides
from atop the "BIG" Hill with a Chair-lift to the top AND reasonable Rates on the Rides. I think that
this would be great AND that it would save thousands from having to drive long distances to enjoy
this fun and thrilling adventure!
OH #1 Process I enjoyed the open house, it was educational. Hopefully, after so many false starts it will be
developed in the near future. I'm attaching my ideas for the site: (drawing included in land use
exercise summary)
Would like mixed development, + possibly trails included. A Maple Grove shopping/living area
concept would be great, perhaps a theatre.
No want race track - too noisy.
OH #1 Arden Hills Open Space Make it into a Regional Park & save remediation costs & make it a multiple purpose park.
OH #1 Arden Hills Process Excellent exercise. Keep us involved.
OH #1 Arden Hills Land Uses I came up with another deep thought while still here at the open house. I think a bakery should be
built in the northwest corner. The prevailing winds will spread the pleasant odor thoughout the
area & help cover the fumes from 35W & Hwy 10. Door to door home delivery would be a
welcome amenity.
Office * retail space should be along Hwy 10 & 35W to provide ability for "advertising", but more
importantly, to block out the freeway noise from 10 & 35W to the residential area.
I strongly encourage space designated for athletics. MVHS needs a new hockey arena. Need
space for baseball fields, soccer, lacrosse and other athletics.
Also consider an Arden Hills Community Center for meeting rooms & other activities. Thank you!
Land Uses
Arden Hills Land Uses,
Attractions,
Open Space
OH #1
OH #1
2
