<br />Memorandum <br /> <br /> <br />Date: October 3, 2013 <br /> <br />To: TCAAP Joint Development Authority <br /> <br />From: Jessica Laabs, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />Subject: TCAAP Master Plan Public Engagement to Date and Next Steps <br /> <br /> <br /> The purpose of this memo is to summarize public engagement activities <br />completed to date for the TCAAP Master Plan process, and how the input <br />informs the next steps of the process. Developer interviews were conducted in <br />July 2013, followed by a Developer Panel and Stakeholder Engagement <br />Workshop on July 30. <br /> The first open house for the TCAAP Master Planning process was held on <br />September 17, 2013 at the Ramsey County Public Works facility. The purpose of <br />this open house was to provide information about the master plan process, share <br />background information on the redevelopment site (including site constraints), <br />and solicit input on site opportunities and issues. 87 people signed in – 49% were <br />Arden Hills residents, 33% were Shoreview residents, and 18% were from other <br />communities. <br /> The following materials were available for viewing: <br /> A number of display boards covering project goals, schedule, site <br />context/features, key lessons from developer panel/interviews, and <br />development types <br /> A brief presentation covering project status, timeline, and process was <br />looped continuously on TVs in the room. <br /> A looping PowerPoint presentation comparing the size of the site to other <br />familiar sites/developments <br /> Requested feedback (via post-its) on visual preference boards - building <br />types, open space types, neighborhood patterns <br /> Participatory land use exercise <br /> <br /> <br />Suite 238N <br />2550 University Avenue West <br />St. Paul, Minnesota <br />55114
