ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—MAY 22, 2017 12 <br /> Councilmember Holden stated the Fire Board met several weeks ago. The preliminary budget <br /> was discussed and a 4.4% increase was being proposed. She indicated the final budget would be <br /> voted on in July. <br /> Councilmember Holden explained she looked forward to the City being able to use its new street <br /> sweeper. <br /> Councilmember Holden noted she attended a recent Rotary Club meeting where identity fraud <br /> was discussed. She encouraged residents to hang up if they are uncertain of who is on the phone. <br /> Councilmember McClung commented on the decommissioning of Fire Station No. 1. He <br /> thanked all of the Lake Johanna Fire Department members for all that they do for the community. <br /> He provided further comment on the 24-hour staffing model and fire department coverage that <br /> would be provided to the City of Arden Hills. <br /> Councilmember McClung discussed his vacation schedule and noted he would be absent at the <br /> July 10 and August 28 City Council meetings. <br /> Mayor Grant reported Presbyterian Homes recently took part in National Care Week. He stated <br /> he was able to participate in this event by sharing a proclamation. <br /> Mayor Grant commented on a recent letter he received from Metropolitan Council regarding the <br /> City's population. He noted the City's population has gone up by 10 people. He encouraged the <br /> Council to contact staff if they would like to review the information from the Met Council. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br /> motion to adiourn.
