ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – JUNE 12, 2017 4 <br /> <br />Mayor Grant stated under the Public Hearing section, citizens would have an opportunity to <br />discuss ideas regarding the TCAAP development. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant opened the public hearing at 7:19 p.m. <br /> <br />With no one coming forward to speak, Mayor Grant closed the public hearing at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />B. Resolution 2017-015 Adopting and Confirming Quarterly Special Assessments <br />for Delinquent Utilities <br /> <br />Finance Analyst Perrault stated delinquent utility amounts are certified to Ramsey County <br />quarterly. A list of utility accounts with a delinquent balance was compiled and notices dated <br />May 9, 2017 were mailed. These customers were informed of their delinquent status and were <br />asked to make payment of the delinquent balance by June 7, 2017. Utility accounts with an unpaid <br />delinquent balance after June 7, 2017 would be certified to Ramsey County to be added to <br />property taxes payable in 2018. The certification amount is equal to the unpaid delinquent balance <br />plus an eight percent penalty. It was noted the City will request that Ramsey County levy the <br />delinquent balances against the respective properties. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant opened the public hearing at 7:21 p.m. <br /> <br />With no one coming forward to speak, Mayor Grant closed the public hearing at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to adopt Resolution #2017-015 – Adopting and Confirming Quarterly <br />Special Assessments for Delinquent Utilities. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott invited the public to attend the two Town Hall meetings that would be <br />held with local legislators on Thursday, June 15 at the Ramsey County Library in Shoreview at <br />7:00 p.m. and another meeting on Saturday, June 17 at the Ramsey County Library in Shoreview <br />at 10:30 a.m.
