Inspection time <br />includes full time construction observation for a maximum duration of 10 weeks. <br />Approximately forty (40) hours per week on average for ten (10) weeks are estimated to <br />complete this portion of the work (400 hours total). The NACE certified inspector will <br />primarily focus on areas of abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and documentation of <br />environmental (temperature, relative humidity, etc.) to verify that adequate conditions are <br />present for work to proceed. <br />a) Assist in helping the Contractor understand the intent of the Contract Documents and <br />communicate with the design team whenever necessary. <br />b) Maintain job site files for shop drawings, correspondence, field inspection reports, <br />construction photographs, field orders, change orders, etc. <br />c) Review the Contractor’s applications for payments with the Engineer. <br />d) Coordinate and manage on-site meetings with the City and the Contractor to discuss <br />progress. <br />e) Review site and prepare punch lists. <br />II. SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION <br />1. Project Schedule <br />We will begin the project coordination and subsequent design immediately after authorization. <br />The proposed schedule includes the following milestone dates: <br /> <br />Task Dates <br />Bid Opening June 20, 2017 <br />Award Construction Contract June 26, 2017 <br />Substantial Completion August 10, 2018 <br />Final Completion August 31, 2018 <br /> <br />2. Compensation <br />Compensation for tasks shall be on an hourly not-to-exceed basis, based on the actual hours <br />worked for personnel assigned to the project, plus reimbursable expenses. We propose to perform <br />these services for the following estimated fees. <br /> <br />Task Fees <br />I. Construction Administration and Construction Observation <br />Services (Includes 40 hours of construction observation per week <br />for 10 weeks) <br />$54,822.00 <br />II. Reimbursable Expenses (mileage) by Badger State Inspection $1,500.00 <br />III. 2-Year Warranty Inspection (includes floatdown inspection) $5,992.00 <br />Total Design, Bidding, and Construction Services $62,314.00 <br />
