Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Perry Park Planning – WSB Scope of Services <br /> <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Amount To Date: Funding Sources: <br />$0 $15,846.00 <br /> <br /> PIR Fund <br /> <br />Requested Action <br />Approve the scope and fee for WSB to provide park planning and grant application assistance for <br />Perry Park in the amount of $15,846.00. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />In the past, the MN Department of Natural Resources had matching grant funding available for <br />park improvements. In addition, staff would like to identify improvements in Perry Park that can <br />be included in future CIP or as staff maintenance projects. Improvements could be range from <br />resurfacing the parking lot to improving the dog park to creating accessibility improvements. <br />Community engagement is an important element in the planning process. The result of this <br />planning process will provide useful information for the City to use in applying for grant <br />funding. <br /> <br />WSB has provided a scope of work and fee (Attachment A) which is summarized as follows: <br /> <br />• Scope of Services A – Park Planning - $10,846 <br />• Scope of Services B (optional) - Grant Application Assistance - $5,000 <br /> <br />The schedule outlined in Attachment A will be adjusted by approximately 2 weeks. <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />Attachment A: WSB Scope of Services to Provide Park Planning for Perry Park <br />NEW BUSINESS – 9B <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />
