ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL — JULY 24, 2017 8 <br />Mayor Grant noted the City was suggesting a Park Dedication fee of $6,500 for this Minor <br />Subdivision. <br />Senior Planner Bachler reported this was the case. He provided further comment on the fees <br />charged by the City for the Minor Subdivision. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember McClune seconded a <br />motion to approve Planning Case 17-016 for a Minor Subdivision at 1224 <br />Amble Road, based on the findings of fact and the submitted plans, as <br />amended by the seven (7) conditions in the July 24, 2017, Report to the City <br />Council. <br />Mayor Grant requested comment from Councilmember Holmes due to the fact she served as the <br />Planning Commission liaison. <br />Councilmember Holmes explained the Planning Commission discussed the proposed lot sizes <br />and understood the applicant was concerned about the Park Dedication fee. She noted the <br />Planning Commission believed the Park Dedication fee was appropriately applied per the <br />Ordinance, and the case was approved unanimously. <br />The motion carried (4-0). <br />10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />None. <br />11. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Scott stated last Tuesday he attended the Commission Appreciation BBQ. He <br />thanked the community members that assisted Bob Mullen, a retired master gardener from the U <br />of M, for their efforts in revitalizing Floral Park. He indicated the work in the park was quite <br />remarkable. <br />Councilmember Scott indicated a Penny Carnival would be held at Perry Park on Friday, July 28, <br />2017, at 1:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Scott noted the second annual Bark and Rec event would be held at Perry Park <br />on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Holmes stated on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, she would be meeting with Sara <br />Knoll and some representatives from GreenStep Cities. She explained she would report back to <br />the City Council in the future regarding the meeting. <br />Councilmember Holmes stated on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, she would be attending the <br />Planning Commission meeting and noted a new member would be interviewing for the <br />Commission. <br />
