<br />_____________________________________________________________________________________________ <br />City of Arden Hills <br />City Council Meeting for October 23, 2017 <br />P:\Planning\Planning Cases\2017\PC 17-023 - Master and Final PUD - Marriot Springhill Suites - 3920 <br />Northwoods Drive\Memos_Reports_17-023 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Motion to approve the Master and Final Planned Unit Development Agreement with Caliber <br />Lodging, LLC, based on the City Council approval of Planning Case 17-023 on September 25, <br />2017. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On September 25, 2017, the City Council approved Planning Case 17-023 for a Master and Final <br />Planned Unit Development (PUD) for the redevelopment of 3920 Northwoods Drive for a <br />Marriott Springhill Suites. A Master and Final PUD Agreement is required to be signed between <br />the City and the developer before the issuance of development permits. The City Attorney has <br />prepared the Agreement and the document has been reviewed by the developer (Attachment A). <br /> <br />As a condition of approval, the City Council required the developer pay a fee based on the <br />deficiency in required tree plantings to be used by the City for new tree plantings on public sites. <br />The developer has provided a revised plan that indicates a deficiency of 135 caliper inches, or <br />approximately 54 trees at 2.5 caliper inches each. The cost of the trees would be approximately <br />$15,120 and with installation the total amount would be $30,240. This amount has been specified <br />in the Agreement as the required fee. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />A.
