Page 3 of 3 Miscellaneous/Retail Activities (Sec. VIII) Earlier this evening, the City Council discussed the requirement that mobile food units/food trucks obtain a City license. The proposed fee is $30.00 for a temporary license (up to seven (7) days) or $100.00 for an annual license (eight (8) days or more during the year). Miscellaneous Fees/Permits (Sec. X) Staff is proposing an increase in recycling fees as follows: $49.00 per residential parcel with curbside recycling and $2.50 per residential parcel without curbside recycling. Staff is also proposing clarification to language cited on the 2017 Fee Schedule regarding rental registrations, which currently is: Rental Registration Fee ($45.00) and Rental Registration Penalty Fee ($90.00). The clarification will indicate the following: Rental Registration/Renewal fee ($45.00 per rental unit) and Rental Renewal Late Fee [Renewals received after January 31] ($45.00 per rental unit). To clarify, those existing rentals that are renewing after January (late) will be charged the $45.00 renewal fee plus the $45 late fee, for a total of $90.00. Any new rental registrations received after January will be charged the base registration fee of $45.00. Utility Use Charges (Sec. XIII) A utility rate study is currently in process. Since this study has not yet been completed, a recommendation for any increases to quarterly water use charges, quarterly sanitary sewer charges, quarterly surface water charges and standby quarterly charges will be proposed at a later date. Recycling Fee (Sec. XIV) The recycling fees for curbside and non-curbside units is proposed to be reduced for 2018 due to a decrease in personnel costs and an increase in recycling revenue share in the 2018 budget.
