<br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Parks, Trails, and Recreation Committee September 19, 2017 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The Parks and Trails chapter is required to include the following specific items: <br />• Describe and map existing and proposal local parks, trails, and recreation facilities <br />• Include a capital improvements program for parks and open space facilities as part of the <br />implementation program <br />• Describe, map, and label the Regional Park System Facilities located in the community <br />• Depict existing regional parkland on Existing Land Use map <br />• Acknowledge the Metropolitan Council-approved master plan boundaries of regional <br />parks, park reserves, and special recreation features on Future Land Use map <br /> <br />WSB has provided a red-lined version of the Parks and Trail chapter from the 2030 <br />Comprehensive Plan (Attachment A) that has been updated to include the following changes: <br />• Existing and proposed regional park and recreation facilities <br />• Proposed public and private park and open space facilities on TCAAP <br />• Current local park amenities <br />• Proposed local park renovations and upgrades and priority areas <br />• Proposed trail segments for expansion and upgrades <br /> <br />WSB has also updated the Parks and Trails map in the Comprehensive Plan that identifies all <br />existing and proposed City and regional facilities (Attachment B). <br /> <br />Staff is requesting that the PTRC review the attached materials and provide feedback. <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />A.
