Page 2 of 2 <br />If approved, all mobile food units/food trucks would be required to obtain a license with the City, <br />good for either up to seven days (temporary), or for more than eight days (annual) within a <br />calendar year. The following insurance, public health, and safety requirements would be verified <br />as part of the licensing process: <br />• Certificate of Insurance that includes commercial general liability, automobile liability, <br />food products liability, public liability, property damage, and workers’ compensation (or <br />waiver if a sole proprietor) <br />• Proof of Department of Health licensing <br />• Compliance with the National Fire Protection Association’s Standard for Ventilation <br />Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations. A visual inspection by <br />the Lake Johanna Fire Department will also be required prior to issuance of a license <br /> <br />In addition, the Ordinance includes the following regulations or performance standards that <br />would be verified when a license is reviewed or could be enforced by the City: <br />• Mobile food units may operate in a private commercial or industrial parking lot, and on <br />private residential property when sales are for catering purposes (i.e. private graduation <br />party or wedding) <br />• Mobile food units may only operate in a City park or on City right-of-way with prior <br />written approval by the City. <br />• Businesses are required to collect and dispose all trash, litter, recycling, and refuse. <br />• Hours of operations are limited to between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. except as otherwise <br />specifically permitted. Noise that disturbs or disrupts vehicular or pedestrian traffic or <br />safety is prohibited. <br />• Mobile food units cannot locate within 200 feet from the public entrance to a restaurant <br />or within 300 feet from the perimeter of an approved festival, or sporting or civic event. <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />A.
