Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, Interim Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Setting Employee Insurance Contribution Rates for 2018 <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />The City Council should consider approving Resolution 2017-046, setting the contribution rates <br />for non-union employee benefits for the 2018 benefit year. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council decided at the November 20, 2017 work session to adjust the non-union <br />employee benefit rates as follows. The City will pay an amount equal to 100 percent of the costs <br />for single medical and dental insurance premiums for employees choosing single medical <br />insurance coverage and an amount equal to 80 percent of the family medical insurance premiums <br />for employees choosing family coverage. The City will also contribute $1,650 towards all <br />eligible employees Health Savings Accounts. <br /> <br />Attachment <br /> <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2017-046 <br />
