GEOMETRIC DESIGN STANDARDS <br /> <br />Geometric design standards are directly related to a roadway’s functional classification <br />and the amount of traffic that the roadway is designed to carry. For the City of Arden <br />Hills, geometric design standards are based on MnDOT State-Aid standards. The <br />following geometric design standards for Major and Minor Collector roadways are <br />illustrated in Figures B.4 and B.5 A and B respectively. These design standards <br />achieve adequate capacity within the roadway network, as well as a level of acceptance <br />by adjacent land uses, given the constraints associated with the existing development <br />pattern.
