Municipal Experience & References / 7 <br />City of Champlin GIS Implementation <br />Todd Beisang, Network Administrator (763) 923-7108 <br />DataLink in use by 33 staff <br />Implementing an enterprise GIS for the City of Champlin started with developing a Strategic GIS Plan that <br />included detailed requirements analysis, system design, application design, deployment, a training plan, and <br />a technical support plan. The Strategic GIS Plan has served as a guide as the City has developed one of the <br />most streamlined GIS implementations in use in the metropolitan area. <br />The City’s GIS is currently managed by the Network Administrator, an IT Specialist, and WSB staff. This includes: <br /> ·Web 2.0 applications that allow Utility and Public Works staff to complete edits <br /> ·Integration with the City’s custom Mr. Maintenance asset management system <br /> ·Mapping of Police incidents via integration with Hennepin County Dispatch <br /> ·Fire safety inspections using iPads <br /> ·High accuracy mobile GIS <br /> ·A cemetery application with a custom reporting engine <br />A Proposal to Provide GIS Services to the City of Arden Hills
