DataLink
provides access to City maps and data for both offi ce and fi eld users alike with:
·An easy-to-use web-based GIS mapping tool with fast performance
·A rich set of GIS tools and mapping capabilities
·An open platform that integrates GIS with their document management system, Enterprise Asset
Management System (EAM), and utility billing systems
·A fully functional mobile solution that is easy to use and is supported by tablets and phones
The City currently hosts their GIS data and services with Carver County. DataLink is able to bridge the gap
between Carver’s hosted Web GIS with seamless access in the offi ce and in the fi eld. WSB assisted with the City’s
Enterprise GIS implementation at Carver County. WSB migrated the City’s existing GIS data to an Enterprise SDE
geodatabase. The migration included utilizing Esri’s Local Government Information Model for utilities.
In addition, WSB worked closely with the City and Cartegraph to assist with the City’s transition to
Cartegraphs OMS asset management platform. Coupled with the City’s Enterprise GIS, the City uses
Cartegraph to manage work and assets such as public utilities, pavement, signs, and street lights. Cartegraph
is linked to the City’s GIS data providing them access to manage assets in the fi eld using mobile devices.
A Proposal to Provide GIS Services to the City of Arden Hills
