From:Judy Labine
To:Matthew Bachler
Subject:New Brighton Road variance
Date:Tuesday, March 27, 2018 5:49:10 AM
To whom it may concern:
(In discussing this issue with my well-informed neighbor, I asked for his written response. I had
planned on re-writing it-- but am unable to do so as well and his meaning reflects my thoughts
perfectly, I added one sentence (in regular font).)
I am opposed to granting the variance for the lot split at 3246 New Brighton Road.
The applicant knew when they purchased the property what the width was and what
they where allowed to place on the property.
The applicant knew that the previous planning case on this property asking for 4 lots
was denied and yet came forward with the same variance.
Houses this close together do not fit into this neighborhood and completely change
the feel and look of the neighborhood. In addition, won't these home owners also
realize that they are being squeezed into smaller lots than their neighbors who
purchased their homes without assistance? Don't we desire our neighbors to feel like
all the rest?
Allowing the squeezing 4 lots into this space is too cramped for the general character
of the area and does not fit in at all with the surrounding properties.
The applicant should not be able to a 4 lot split when they knew what they bought.
Please deny this variance.
Thank you for your time.
Judy Labine
