Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: June 11, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Cooperative Agreement for Old Snelling Trail <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $3,376,269.85 $3,376,269.85 Ramsey County/MSAS, PIR, <br /> Development Reimbursement, <br /> Water Utility <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />The Council is requested to approve Cooperative Agreement PUBW2018-12 with Ramsey <br />County for the Old Snelling Trail Improvements, which include trails along Old Snelling <br />Avenue, County Road E, and County Road E2. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />Arden Hills led the design of the trail project. The project is currently under construction with an <br />anticipated completion in October 2018. <br /> <br />The attached Cooperative Agreement, which has been reviewed by the City and County <br />Attorneys, spells out the County’s financial contribution to the project and the City’s long term <br />maintenance responsibility. The County’s financial contribution is estimated at $556,463.89 and <br />includes an overhead at a rate of 12.5% for design and 12.5% for construction services. The <br />final amount will be calculated at completion of construction. <br /> <br />The City’s long term maintenance items include storm sewer, watermain, retaining walls, and <br />trail.
