ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—MAY 29, 2018 17 <br /> MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a motion to <br /> table action on PlanninE Case 18-010 to the June 11, 2018 City Council <br /> meetiniz. <br /> The motion carried 4-1 (Councilmember Holmes opposed). <br /> 11. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 12. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Scott thanked Roberta Thompson for her 12 years of dedicated service on the <br /> Planning Commission and PTRC. He noted Ms. Thompson was a pleasure to work with and <br /> wished her well in her move. He explained the Planning Commission had several vacant seats at <br /> this time and encouraged those interested in serving with this group to contact City Hall for <br /> further information. <br /> Councilmember Scott reported the month of May was Military Appreciation Month. He <br /> discussed a Military Appreciation event that was held in Arden Hills and thanked all who were <br /> able to attend this wonderful event. <br /> Councilmember Scott noted he recently visited the Minnesota History Center and encouraged <br /> the public to visit this valuable local attraction. <br /> Councilmember Scott indicated he attended the Public Works recognition luncheon last week, <br /> along with Councilmembers Holden and Councilmember Holmes. <br /> Councilmember Scott stated he completed a shift at Feed my Starving Children last Friday. He <br /> thanked all of the students who were able to volunteer at this event. <br /> Councilmember Scott reported he attended the Memorial Day events put on by Fort Snelling <br /> National Cemetery on Sunday afternoon. <br /> Councilmember McClung stated he served with Roberta Thompson for a number of years and <br /> he explained the Planning Commission would greatly miss her contributions. He wished her <br /> well in her move to Wisconsin. <br /> Councilmember McClung thanked the first responders for the great service they provided at a <br /> recent drowning at Tony Schmidt Park. He encouraged the public to thank its First Responders <br /> for the great service they provide to the community. <br /> Councilmember Holmes thanked Roberta Thompson for her dedicated service to the City of <br /> Arden Hills. <br />
