State Bridge Funds, MSAS <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />• Adopt Resolution 2018-048 Approving Plans and Specifications and Ordering <br />Advertisement for Bids for the Old Snelling Bridge Replacement <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />Final plans and specifications have been completed by Kimley-Horn for the Old Snelling Bridge <br />Replacement project. Based on the final design, the updated estimated costs and proposed <br />funding sources are shown below: <br /> <br />Estimated cost: <br />State Bridge Funds $211,089.50 <br />Municipal State Aid Funds $297,330.50 <br /> $508,420.00 <br /> <br />The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has approved the funding for this <br />project (Attachment A) and the City can now solicit bids for the project. Once the bids are <br />received and the low bidder determined, the City will be required to enter into a bridge bond <br />grant agreement with MnDOT.
