ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—JULY 23, 2018 3 <br /> completes Steps 1 through 5, it will earn a recognition block that will be displayed in the lobby at <br /> City Hall. <br /> Councilmember Holden thanked City Planner Bachler for his efforts. <br /> 5. STAFF COMMENTS <br /> A. Rice Creek Commons (TCAAP) and Joint Development Authority(JDA) Update <br /> City Administrator Perrault provided an update on TCAAP noting the Wednesday, July 25 <br /> JDA meeting has been canceled. He explained the JDA would meet next on Monday,August 6. <br /> Councilmember Holden asked when the JDA would be receiving a copy of the final MDA. <br /> City Administrator Perrault anticipated the JDA would be receiving a copy of an executive <br /> summary for the MDA prior to their August meeting. He noted the vote on the MDA would be <br /> pushed back. <br /> Councilmember Holmes requested the Council review the green infrastructure feasibility study at <br /> a future worksession meeting. <br /> Mayor Grant recommended the Council dust this document off when the City gets closer to <br /> developing TCAAP, perhaps in July of 2019. <br /> B. Transportation Update <br /> Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka reported there were issues with a retaining wall <br /> along Old Snelling which was delaying the opening of this roadway. She explained she would <br /> have more information regarding this matter on Tuesday, July 24 and would pass this information <br /> along to the Council through an administrative update. <br /> Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka stated the Johanna Marsh playground equipment <br /> had been installed and the slabs would be poured on Tuesday, July 24. <br /> Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka explained construction on the traffic signal along <br /> Highway 96 would be delayed this week due to the funeral being held for the corrections officer. <br /> She commented further on the traffic closures that would occur in the City for the funeral in order <br /> to make adequate room for the number of squad cars that would be at the funeral. <br /> C. Night to Unite Update <br /> City Clerk Hanson stated the 2018 Night to Unite will be held Tuesday, August 7. Those <br /> interested in hosting an event were encouraged to register their party with the Ramsey County <br /> Sheriffs Office by Friday, July 20, 2018. Individuals may still register their party but are not <br /> guaranteed a visit by local representatives, though they will do their best to accommodate all. <br />
