Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS– 8A <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: November 13, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing to Consider Approval of Liquor License Application – Orchid Bar <br />and Grill Inc. <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $ $ $ <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br />Holding a public hearing to consider approval of a liquor license for a new business, Orchid Bar <br />and Grill Inc. <br />Background/Discussion <br />Orchid Bar and Grill Inc., has requested an On-Sale license (ONSS beer, wine and intoxicating <br />liquor) for their new restaurant. They will be located at 3845 Lexington Avenue North, #107 in <br />Arden Hills. The site is currently under construction and this establishment is planning to open in <br />January 2019. <br />Staff is in receipt of all the necessary paperwork and associated fees, and a background check <br />has been successfully completed by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office. <br />All required information will be submitted to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety <br />Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement upon approval by the City Council. The State can then <br />proceed with its next steps in the approval process. <br />Please note the City liquor license will not be formally issued until a fire inspection by the Lake <br />Johanna Fire Department has been conducted and a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued by <br />the City. <br />
