Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: April 22, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Camera Trailer Purchase <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $125,000 $124,337.00 Equipment Replacement Fund <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br />Approval of the purchase of camera trailer from Flexible Pipe Tool Company in the amount of <br />$124,337.00, including trade-in of the 2003 camera trailer (Attachment A). <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The City’s existing trailer was purchased in 2003 and is in need of replacement due to corrosion, and <br />aging in addition to technology updates including camera equipment, computer and software. The <br />trailer is used in sewer televising operations which are completed periodically in accordance with the <br />City’s sanitary sewer policy as well as in emergency situations such as plugged or broken mains. The <br />2019 CIP identifies a budget of $125,000 for the camera trailer replacement (Attachment B). The <br />purchase price includes a trade-in value of $21,000 for the 2003 trailer.
