BACKGROUND The City’s adopted 2019-2023 Capital Improvement Program includes proposed improvements to tennis and basketball courts located within Hazelnut and Royal Hills Parks in the amount of $175,000 for 2019 and within Cummings Park in the amount of $125,000 for 2021, for a total of $300,000 over the next few years. The City Council initiated the project by authorizing geotechnical and design services by WSB & Associates on May 13, 2019. DISCUSSION Project construction bids were opened on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. A total of four bids were received, as listed below. The project base bid includes reconstruction of the tennis and basketball court at Royal Hills Park and resurfacing the existing tennis courts at Cummings Park. The bid alternate includes reconstruction of the tennis court at Hazelnut Park.
