Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM – 1A <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: August 19, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Todd Blomstrom, Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Ramsey County Lexington Avenue Project Update <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> 550,000 $710,700 (net $544.106) PIR, Water, Assessments <br /> <br />For Council Consideration <br /> <br />Council may provide direction or feedback to staff and Ramsey County representatives regarding <br />proposed improvements to Lexington Avenue. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />Ramsey County is preparing construction plans for improvements to Lexington Avenue from <br />County Road E to I-694. The project scope includes reconstruction of the roadway, <br />improvements to intersections and utilities, and modifications to access points along the corridor. <br /> <br />The attached figure provides a draft concept layout for the project, illustrating the proposed <br />medians and lane configuration. Project improvements also include replacement of water main <br />along the west side of Lexington Avenue from Red Fox Road to Grey Fox Road. Additional <br />water main replacement is also proposed along the east side of Lexington Avenue in the City of <br />Shoreview. <br /> <br />Representatives from Ramsey County and the project engineering consultant will be available at <br />the work session on August 19 to provide a presentation on the project design, schedule, access <br />modifications and cost. <br /> <br /> <br />
