This project will be
completed by city employees using a rented paving machine. The department originally
intended to use the City of Shoreview’s paver, but the width of their machine is not sufficient to
complete resurfacing for the 26-foot wide pavement mat along Oak Avenue. A paving machine
has been secured for the project from an equipment rental company.

Work is currently underway to adjust manhole and catch basin casting elevations along Oak
Avenue. Paving work is scheduled to begin September 9 and be completed within three days,
weather dependent. The Public Works Department is also planning to complete minor additional
resurfacing work within the intersection of Glenpaul Avenue and Prior Avenue to improve
drainage and repair significant pavement deterioration.
