Visit <br />cityofardenhills.org/volunteer to learn more about citywide volunteer <br />opportunities and to submit an online application. <br />City Seeks Volunteers for Commissions and Committees <br />The City of Arden Hills will begin construction of drainage <br />improvements along Colleen Avenue on September 9. Construction <br />activities include storm sewer improvements, street & curb <br />rehabilitation (patching), and turf restoration on Colleen Avenue <br />between James Avenue and Norma Avenue. Colleen Avenue will <br />be closed to thru traffic at times while construction is underway. <br />Improvements also include work on the storm sewer impacting the <br />trail behind Colleen Avenue and Colleen Court. The trail will be closed <br />during construction. <br />Construction Begins September 9 on Colleen Avenue <br />The U.S. Census Bureau began address canvassing last month for the <br />2020 Census count. Census employees who go door to door will have <br />an official identification card with the employee's name, picture and an <br />expiration date. Their laptop computers and black canvas bags will have <br />a Census Bureau logo on them. Visit census.gov to learn more about <br />how a complete census count benefits our community. <br />U.S. Census Bureau Employees to Wear IDs and Logos <br />Absentee voting for the November 5 General Election opens <br />September 20 and will include the County Special Election for County <br />Commissioner in District 1, which includes Arden Hills, and school <br />board elections for Mounds View Public Schools and Roseville Area <br />Schools. You can request a ballot to be mailed to your home. Visit <br />cityofardenhills.org/electionsandvoting for details. <br />Absentee Voting Opens September 20 for November 5 <br />General Election for County Commissioner and School Board <br />Lexington Avenue Construction Project Delayed to 2021 <br />Ramsey County is delaying the planned Lexington Avenue <br />Reconstruction project to 2021. The project will include reconstructing <br />the aging and deteriorating pavement, replacing traffic signals and <br />improving pedestrian and bicycle facilities from County Road E to <br />I-694. Improvements also will include water main, sanitary sewer, storm <br />sewer and water treatment in the project area.
