Attachment A <br />�-ARZEN HILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-031 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS FOR 2017 <br />SANITARY SEWER LINING PROJECT, SUBJECT TO MINOR MODIFICATIONS <br />AND FINAL REVIEW BY CITY ATTORNEY <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Legislature has appropriated general obligation bond funds <br />for grants to municipalities to reduce inflow and infiltration in their public system infrastructure, <br />administered by Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES); and <br />WHEREAS, application to participate in the MCES 2017 Municipal Grant Program <br />(Grant Program) was made in September 2017, for the reimbursement of a percentage of the <br />construction costs of the 2017 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project (Project); and <br />WHEREAS, the City was notified by MCES Letter of Intent in October 2017, of approval to <br />participate in the Grant Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills awarded a bid for the Projects on September 11, 2017 <br />and May 14, 2018, and approved final acceptance of the work on November 13, 2018 with the 2018 <br />PMP project yet to be completed; and <br />WHEREAS, Grant Agreement between the Metropolitan Council and the City of Arden Hills <br />has been drafted by MCES; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has completed $284,880.05 of work eligible for <br />funding, and desires to enter into Grant Agreement to finalize the reimbursement process. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The City Council hereby approves application for MCES 2017 Municipal Inflow & <br />Infiltration Grant Program. <br />2. The City Council hereby approves the Grant Agreement between Metropolitan Council <br />and City of Arden Hills and authorizes the Interim City Administrator to execute Grant <br />Agreement, subject to minor modifications and final review by the City Attorney. <br />
