CONSENT ITEM —71) <br />,i` I�EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: September 23, 2019 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Authorization to Appoint Public Works Maintenance Worker <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br />Council Should Consider <br />The Council should consider making the following appointment: <br />-David Montgomery to the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker at Step Three in the <br />Union Contract pay scale, all other benefits will begin at "Year 0". <br />Background <br />The City of Arden Hills currently has a vacancy for a Public Works Maintenance Worker in the <br />Public Works Department. Following a recruitment for the position, David Montgomery has <br />been identified as the best applicant, and staff is requesting that the City Council officially <br />approve this appointment. David Montgomery is a previous seasonal employee with the City. <br />This is a union position and falls under the collective bargaining agreement and the City's <br />personnel policy. <br />Budget Impact <br />This position is a previously budgeted full-time position. <br />Attachment <br />N/A <br />
