DATE: January 13, 2020 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Approve Resolution 2020-005 Establishing 2020 Election Polling Place <br />Locations for Precinct 1, Precinct 2 and Precinct 3 <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br />The Council should consider approving resolution 2020-005 approving polling place locations for <br />Precincts 1, 2 and 3. <br /> <br />Background <br />The City Council directed staff to investigate an alternative polling location for Precinct 2, and move <br />precinct 3’s location to North Heights Lutheran Church. The City worked with Ramsey County’s <br />Election staff to find a new location for Precinct 2, and it was determined the Anderson Center, on <br />Pine Tree Drive, would be a suitable location. Ramsey County also was in contact with North <br />Heights Lutheran Church, and it was determined that it could host Precinct 3’s polling place. There <br />are no changes to the Precinct 1 polling location. The proposed polling locations are: <br /> <br />Precinct 1: Church of the Way, 3382 Lexington Ave N, Shoreview, MN 55126 <br />Precinct 2: Anderson Center, 2 Pine Tree Dr, Arden Hills, MN 55112 <br />Precinct 3: North Heights Lutheran Church, 1700 Hwy 96 W, Arden Hills, MN 55112 <br /> <br />Following the approval of the new polling locations, Ramsey County will send a letter to registered <br />voters that reside in these two precincts with the new locations, and the City will communicate the <br />changes on its website, social media, and the newsletter. <br /> <br />Budget Impact <br />N/A <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2020-005 <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6L <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
