CITY OF ARDEN HILLS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2020-005 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES FOR THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY, STATE PRIMARY AND STATE GENERAL ELECTION WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 204B.16 requires the City Council to designate polling places for the upcoming year by resolution; and WHEREAS, changes to the polling place locations may be made before the next election if one or more of the authorized polling places becomes unavailable for use or in the case of an emergency when it is necessary to ensure a safe and secure location for voting; and WHEREAS, Presbyterian Church of the Way has previously been designated as the polling place to serve all territory in Arden Hills Precinct 1 located in the City of Arden Hills; Ramsey County, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, North Heights Lutheran Church was designated as the polling place to serve all territory in Arden Hills Precinct 2 located in the City of Arden Hills; Ramsey County, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, North Heights Lutheran Church is no longer available due to proximity to precinct concerns to serve as a polling place for Precinct 2 for the elections; and WHEREAS, Ramsey County Public Works was designated as the polling place to serve all territory in Arden Hills Precinct 3 located in the City of Arden Hills; Ramsey County, Minnesota, and WHEREAS, Ramsey County Public Works Facility is no longer available due to accessibility concerns to serve as a polling place for the elections; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 204B.16 authorizes the change in polling places approved before December 31, 2019 if the polling place is not available. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Arden Hills, State of Minnesota as follows: 1. The polling place for all territory in Arden Hills Precinct 1 is hereby established for elections held in 2020 as Presbyterian Church of the Way, 3382 Lexington Avenue N, Shoreview, Minnesota.
