Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Option 2: Replace Pump and Relocate Existing Control Cabinet $26,702.00 <br />Replace submersible pump, retrofit the existing cabinet with the required phase convertor and <br />relocation of the existing cabinet back from the embankment. <br /> <br />Option 3: Replace Pump and Replace Control Cabinet at Existing Location $27,880.00 <br />Replace submersible pump and placement of a new control cabinet with new components and <br />phase convertor at the existing cabinet location. <br /> <br />Option 4: Replace Pump and Relocate a New Control Cabinet $34,430.00 <br />Replace submersible pump and placement of a new control cabinet with new components and <br />phase convertor, relocated back from the embankment. <br /> <br />Following a review of the above information, the Karth Lake Improvement District Board <br />recommended that the City proceed with Option 1 as described above. <br /> <br />On January 15, 2020, the Karth Lake Improvement District Board discussed a recommended <br />funding strategy for the implementation of Option 1. The Board’s recommendation is to levy the <br />cost for Option 1 in the estimated amount of $13,002 within the District over a two year period <br />with taxes paid in 2021 and 2022 as further described in the attached Resolution provided in <br />Attachment B. <br /> <br />If the City Council agrees with the terms outlined in the attached resolution, staff would prepare <br />an agenda item for an upcoming City Council meeting to authorize the Public Works Department <br />to proceed with ordering the pump and cabinet components, and authorize the Finance Director <br />to work with Ramsey County to ensure that the applicable properties within the District are taxed <br />the appropriate amounts in 2021 and 2022. <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Attachment A – Price Quotation Information <br />Attachment B – KLID Board Resolution
