City of Arden Hills <br />1245 West Highway 96 <br />Arden Hills, MN 55112-5743 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Date: January 15, 2020 <br />To: Mike Mrosla, Community Development Manager/City Planner <br />From: David Swearingen, Senior Engineering Technician <br /> Todd Blomstrom, Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />Subject: Boston Scientific Bldg. 10 RTC Dock Addition - Engineering Plan Review <br />This memorandum summarizes engineering review comments for the “City Submittal” copy of <br />construction plans for Boston Scientific Bldg 10 – RTC Dock Addition prepared by RSP Architects dated <br />December 16, 2019. <br />GENERAL LAYOUT COMMENTS <br />1. A Grading and Erosion Control Permit from the City of Arden Hills will be required due <br />to land disturbance exceeding 2,500 square feet. <br />2. A Right of Way Permit is required before any modifications to the existing curb. <br />3. A Sewer Permit is required before modification to the existing sanitary structure. <br />4. Please provide a thorough description of trucking operations including the estimated <br />number of trucks per day, vehicle types, turning movements, and staging. Overnight on- <br />street parking along Innovation Way is not allowed by City Code 800.03. <br />5. Provide wetland delineation documentation for “Wetland 12” as depicted on Sheet C1. <br />Add grading details at storm sewer outfall location. <br />6. Show right of way boundary lines for Innovation Way on Sheet C1. <br />7. Show dimensions of driveway opening at the street curb line for Innovation Way and <br />adjust driveway opening width in conformance with City Code 1325.06, Subd 3. <br />8. Install a concrete apron across the proposed driveway opening, connecting existing curb <br />to the north and south of the driveway. Repair all street pavement and curb damaged <br />during construction. <br />9. Label detail plate codes on Sheet C1. <br />10. Provide design details and specify materials for proposed block retaining wall. <br /> Attachment D
